This time I want to introduce about Gili Nanggu to the readers, Gili means Small Island. Actually there are many Gili in Lombok, three of the most famous are Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. Gili Nanggu not as famous as the three Gilis.
But trust me, you will feel the loss if not visiting this Gili when you traveled in Lombok.
Gili Nanggu is on the west side of the island of Lombok, the spacious of island is only about 12.5 hectares. The place is still very natural and beautiful, but rarely known by tourists. making it the perfect place for those who like the quietness. Especially for those who were on their honeymoon.
In Gili Nanggu you will find few tourists domestic and foreign tourists, and none of hawkers who sell here so it will feel like on a private island. Besides its beaches and crystal clear sea water, Gili Nanggu has a beautiful garden and wonderful sea with coral reefs that are still well preserved complete with colorful fish
There are two points for snorkeling in Gili Nanggu, on the east side which is a beautiful fish congregate and play. Right on the south side there are beautiful coral reefs and colorful. The right time for snorkeling is during the day, because of the water flow and the wind is not strong yet, and you will get a pretty good lighting.
Besides cottages and bungalows designed as traditional house of Sasak, there are public facilities those are quite satisfactory in Gili Nanggu. On the beach we will find small lodges that we can use for lounging and relaxing, while enjoying the breeze and ocean views.
There are many things we can do there such as snorkeling, diving, photographed, sunbathing. and others, without any interruption. Especially for honeymooners or newlyweds.
